Oneonta Women's Swimming & Diving Earn CSCAA Fall Scholar All-America Honors

ONEONTA, N.Y. - For the 12th time in program history, the Oneonta women's swimming & diving team earned the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Fall Scholar All-America distinction.

To earn this prestigious recognition, teams were required to achieve a grade point average (GPA) above 3.0 during the Fall 2024 semester. Of the selected teams, an impressive 654 recorded a GPA of 3.30 or higher, qualifying them for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings. There were 781 teams from 459 institutions for the Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2024 semester.

The Oneonta women's team recorded a team cumulative GPA of 3.39 this fall semester, and the Red Dragons had the second-highest GPA of all the SUNYAC institutions.

Samantha Barany, Executive Director of the CSCAA, commented on the impressive accomplishments, saying, "The commitment to academic excellence demonstrated by these teams is truly admirable. It is inspiring to see student-athletes excel both in the pool and in the classroom. The CSCAA takes great pride in honoring and celebrating their dedication and achievements.
