ITHACA, N.Y. - The Oneonta women's track & field competed at the Ithaca Quad Meet on Saturday, placing fourth out of the four teams. Ithaca won the meet with 78 points.
Freshman Jaiden Schrag (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley Central) started by placing third in the 60-meter hurdle prelims at 9.39. She dropped her time in the finals to 9.23 and finished third overall.
Two Red Dragons qualified for the 60-meter dash finals, with Schrag running an 8.26 in the prelims for sixth overall. Sophomore Nicolette DuBose (Levittown, NY/Island Trees) was eighth at 8.27. DuBose went on to finish fifth at 8.20.
Freshman Natalia Sweat (Newburgh, NY/Newburgh) crossed third in the mile race at 5:28.48, while senior Sabrinna Mena (Holtsville, NY/Sachem East) finished sixth at 5:31.94.
In the 500-meter race, sophomore Keyla Mendoza (Freeport, NY/Freeport) ran a 1:33.99 for fourth overall. Senior Danielle Jackson (Bronx, NY/Central Park East) took seventh in the 200-meter at 27.44.
In the 3,000-meter race, senior Samantha Krayeski (Port Washington, NY/Paul D. Schreiber Senior) ran an 11:28.68 to place sixth overall.
The 4x400 relay of Jackson, Schrag, Eva Woodworth (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool), and Sweat took fourth at 4:16.57.
In the field events, junior Gabi Ragozzine (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) threw 13.43 meters to earn seventh in the weight throw. Junior Tarryn Herman (Franklinville, NY/Franklinville) took third in the shot put at 11.57 meters, while freshman Mackenzie Lawrence (Berne, NY/Berne-Knox) was sixth at 10.70 meters.
Oneonta next competes at the Houghton Highlander Invitational on Sat. Jan. 25.
