ONEONTA, N.Y. -Â Seniors Ejim Nnate (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Comsewogue) and Isabella Fabrizio (Highland Mills, NY/Cornwall) qualified for the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships and will travel to compete in Myrtle Beach, S.C. from May 23-25 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium. Nnate will run the 100-meter hurdle prelims on Fri. May 24 at 4:10 p.m., and Fabrizio will compete in the shot put the same day at 4 p.m.
Nnate qualified for the 100-meter hurdles at a program record time of 14.37. She is the first Oneonta hurdler to qualify for the event, and Nnate is coming off All-AARTFC and All-SUNYAC Second Team performances to close out the season. During the indoor season, Nnate earned All-American First Team honors in the 60-meter hurdles to become the first Oneonta hurdler to receive the honor.Â
Fabrizio qualifies for the shot put for the second year in a row with a throw of 13.67 meters. She was the SUNYAC champion in the shot put for the second consecutive season and earned All-AARTFC honors. Fabrizio was an All-American Second Team in the shot put in the indoor season.Â
Both athletes compete on Fri. May 24, with the hurdle finals on Sat. May 25 at 4:50 p.m.
