CORTLAND, N.Y. -Â The Oneonta women's track & field team concluded Saturday's second day of the Cortland Classic. While there was team scoring, the Red Dragons had solid individual performances.Â
The track events started with the 4x100 relay. Brianna Senatore (), Nicolette DuBose (Levittown, NY/Island Trees), Danielle Jackson (Bronx, NY/Central Park East), and Ejim Nnate (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Comsewogue) crossed third overall at 50.41.Â
Freshman Keyla Mendoza (Freeport, NY/Freeport) placed 20th overall at 2:40.09, and freshman Olivia Komacek (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) was 24th at 2:41.90.
After breaking the 100-meter hurdle record in Friday's prelims (14.49), senior Ejim Nnate (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Comsewogue) won the finals at 14.55. Freshman Eko Dodd-Brown (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) ran a personal best of 16.35 to place third. Dodd-Brown continued with a personal record 1:13.71 in the 400-meter hurdles to place sixth. Junior Taylor Johnson (White Plains, NY/White Plains) crossed ninth at 1:14.84.
Freshman Daniea Austin (Goshen, NY/Goshen Highschool) ran a 1:07.32 in the 400-meter race to finish 14th.Â
In the 200-meter dash, Jackson finished second overall at 26.81, and Nnate was fourth at 27.18. Senatore ran a 28.00 to finish 13th overall.Â
Senior Isabella Fabrizio (Highland Mills, NY/Cornwall) took second in the shot put at 12.89 meters, while senior Emelene Burek (Latham, NY/Shaker) was third at 11.65 meters. Sophomore Tarryn Herman (Franklinville, NY/Franklinville) earned seventh (10.74 meters).
In the high jump, junior Sage Douglass (Pine Plains, NY/Stissing Mountain) cleared 1.31 meters to finish eighth, while Dodd-Brown was tenth at 1.31 meters.Â
Sophomore Gabi Ragozzine (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) threw 34.24 meters in the discus to place fifth, and Burek took sixth at 33.97 meters.  Â
Oneonta continues the season at the RPI Upstate Classic on Apr. 26.Â
