EMMITSBURG, MD. -- The SUNY Oneonta men's tennis team dropped their road match against Mount St. Mary's (Md.), 7-0, Friday afternoon. The Red Dragons fell to 4-4 on the season while the Mount improved to 4-6 overall.  

In doubles play, senior August LePique (New York, NY/Columbia) and sophomore William Schmid (Yonkers/Salesian HS) were defeated, 6-1, on the No. 1 court against Filippos Zachiotis and Jarrett Karnibad. The No. 2 duo of freshmen Chris Chippari (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Roy C Ketcham) and Brayden Stuart (Albertson, N.Y./Herricks HS / New Hyde Park) were bested 6-0 by Victor Mignot and Elliot Stevens, and sophomore Braden Greenberg (Northport, N.Y./Northport) and freshman Zachary Blaakman (Penfield/Penfield High School) were tripped up on the No. 3 court by Marcel Cronin and Akarsh Gaongkar, 6-1.  

The Red Dragons were defeated in all six singles matches. Schmid had the closest match on the No. 2 court, but came up short against Aaron Thompson, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4). On the No. 1 court, LePique dropped straight 6-1 sets against Karnibad.  

Oneonta returns to the courts Sunday, March 10, against Hamilton at 4 pm in Clinton.
