ROCHESTER, N.Y. -Â The Oneonta women's track & field team concluded the first day of the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Indoor Championships on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Dragons kicked off with the 60-meter hurdle finals. Senior Ejim Nnate (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Comsewogue) placed fourth overall at 8.90. In the mile, senior Sierra Basco (Albany, NY/Shaker) ran a 5:30.34 to finish 24th. Junior Sabrinna Mena (Holtsville, NY/Sachem East) took 11th in the 3,000-meter race, running a 10:37.32.Â
Senior Isabella Fabrizio (Highland Mills, NY/Cornwall) threw 14.76 meters in the weight throw to earn a 12th-place finish, while sophomore Gabi Ragozzine (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) was 22nd at 14.25 meters.
Oneonta now awaits to see if any athletes qualify for the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships on Mar. 8.Â
