BUFFALO, N.Y. -Â The Oneonta women's swimming & diving team finished sixth out of eight teams with 263 points at the SUNYAC Swimming & Diving Championships. Geneseo won the team title with 1,090.5 points.Â
Junior Lena Nakken (Islip, NY/Islip) finished eighth in the 1,650-yard freestyle at 18:56.56. In the 200-yard backstroke, freshman Alexandria Bard (Schenectady, NY/Duanesburg) swam a 2:21.29 for 13th overall. Senior Emma Stephenson (Owego, NY/Owego Free Academy) finished seventh in the 200-yard breaststroke with a 2:38.84. Junior Cadence Dudley (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) was 13th at 2:45.45.Â
In the 200-yard butterfly, senior Claire Armstrong (Woodbury, NY/Monroe Woodbury) posted a 2:34.88 to place 14th overall.
The Oneonta 400-yard freestyle relay of Stephenson, Sophia Olson (Scotia, NY/Scotia Glenville), Nakken, and Allison LaBarbera (Lynbrook, NY/Lynbrook) earned fifth with a 3:51.05.Â
Junior Margaret Nolan (North Bellmore, NY/Mepham) took seventh in the three-meter dive by scoring 354.10 points.Â
