ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Oneonta women's swimming & diving team picked up two weekly awards for Nov. 18. Freshman Alexis Gibson (Schenectady, NY/Schenectady) was selected as the SUNYAC Women's Swimmer of the Week, and junior Macayla Hodkinson (Bethpage, NY/Bethpage) was the conference diver of the week. Gibson received the honor for the second week in a row.
Gibson won two individual events and helped two relays win in Wednesday's meet against Delhi and Herkimer. She took first in the 200-yard freestyle at 2:07.11 and first in the 100-yard freestyle with a 57.38. The 200-yard freestyle relay won at 1:51.81, and the 400-yard medley relay placed first at 4:37.91.
Hodkinson won the one-meter dive by placing first with 212.60 points.
Oneonta next competes at the Electric City Invitational from Nov. 22-24.
