ONEONTA, N.Y. - Junior Isabella Fabrizio (Highland Mills, NY/Cornwall) claimed the shot put title and first-team all-conference honors as the Oneonta women's track & field team placed fourth in the SUNYAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The Red Dragons scored 64 points, while Geneseo won the team title with 291 points.
In the heptathlon, sophomore Sage Douglass (Pine Plains, NY/Stissing Mountain) grabbed a sixth-place finish with 2,933 points. Douglass won the javelin at 29.87 meters.Â
Junior Ella DePhillips (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) crossed fourth overall in the 1.500-meter with a personal best time of 4:48.91. Junior Olivia O'Donnell (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) finished eighth at 4:54.82.Â
Junior Ejim Nnate (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Comsewogue) posted a time of 15.00 to earn All-SUNYAC Third Team honors and a third-place finish in the 100-hurdles.
In the discus, freshman Gabi Ragozzine (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) grabbed sixth at 35.25 meters, and junior Kate Bellman (Pompton Plains, NJ/Pequannock Township) took seventh with a throw of 33.65 meters.
Fabrizio took gold in the shot put with a mark of 13.32 meters, while junior Emelene Burek (Cohoes, NY/Shaker) was fifth at 12.25. Sophomore Teghan Garris (Dryden, NY/Dryden) scored at eighth place after throwing 11.42 meters.Â
Oneonta next competes at the AARTFC Outdoor Championships hosted by Susquehanna University on Wed. May 17.Â
