ONEONTA, N.Y. -- The SUNY Oneonta men's tennis team snapped their three-game winning streak with an 8-1 decision to Union, Thursday afternoon. The Red Dragons fell to 7-11 on the season while the Dutchmen improved to 7-7 overall. Â

Jacob Dornsife (Wilmington, DE/Mt. Pleasant) and
Mason Spottek (Binghamton/Susquehanna Valley) secured Oneonta their match point on the No. 1 doubles court. Dornsife and Spottek defeated Dimitris Binopoulos and Ben Jacobs, 8-6. Junior
Joshua Mann (East Greenbush/Columbia) and sophomore
Noah Khair (New Delhi, INDIA/National Institute of Open Schooling) kept it close on the No. 3 court but in the end fell, 8-4. Â
Union combined for four bagel sets as they swept the singles matches. Senior
August LePique (New York, NY/Columbia) was upended on the No. 1 court against Jacobs, 6-1, 6-2. Spottek fell on the No. 2 court to Binopoulos, 6-1, 6-3, and Dornsife was defeated by Khai Ton on the No. 3 court, 6-3, 6-1. Â
Oneonta wraps up the season with a double match on Saturday. For Senior Day, the Red Dragons face Oswego at 12 then RIT at 4 pm.Â
