ONEONTA, N.Y. -- The SUNY Oneonta men's tennis team fell in a conference match to New Jersey City, 7-2, Saturday afternoon. Following the result, the Red Dragons slipped to 4-10 on the season and 1-2 the NJAC while the Gothic Knights moved to 7-6 overall and 2-0 in the conference.

August LePique (New York, NY/Columbia) and sophomore
William Schmid (Yonkers/Salesian HS) won their fifth match as a doubles team this season with an 8-6 victory over Joaquin Pluis and Jordi Julia on the No. 2 court.
After falling in the first set on the No. 6 singles court, junior
Joshua Mann (East Greenbush/Columbia) defeated Loras Gerard. Mann needed an extra game to win the second set, 7-5, before he took the third set tiebreaker, 11-9.
Senior
Mason Spottek (Binghamton/Susquehanna Valley) was close to forcing a third set tiebreaker with but came up short in the second set tiebreaker to Alejandro Ley, falling in straight sets, 6-1, 7-6 (7-3).
The Red Dragons are back in action Friday for a match against Delhi at 4 pm.
