Jamie O'Neil (Bath, N.Y./Haverling) recorded five goals for the Red Dragons as they, and the Thoroughbreds, moved to 1-1 on the season.

O'Neil tied the game at one, off an assist from junior
Matthew Krieg (Port Jefferson Station/Comsewogue), with 6:59 left in the first, however Skidmore scored five straight to put themselves up 6-1 at 9:41 in the second. Senior
Jack Dinnegan (Blauvelt/Tappan Zee) found senior
Owen Vail (Massapequa Park/Massapequa) on the wing for a man-up goal 20 seconds later to cut the deficit to four, but the Thoroughbreds kept their presence on the offensive side to enter halftime up 10-3. O'Neil scored the last Red Dragon goal of the first half off another dish from Kreig.

Skidmore put the game away with a 7-0 third period. Charlie McFadden scored three goals and Jimmy Gibbons found the net twice during the quarter to put the Thoroughbreds up 17-3.Â
O'Neil netted the final three goals for Oneonta in the fourth quarter. The first was a man-up opportunity, then he wrapped around the cage for a goal off an assist by junior

Sean Mueller (Pleasantville, N.Y./Pleasantville) dished it to him for the last Red Dragon score. Â

Harrison Boukas (North Massapequa/Plainegde) finished with 11 saves and freshman
Ryan Collins (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside) finished with three. Â
McFadden finished with six goals while Brian Gonsalves and Jack Whalen recorded hat tricks. Collin Kuester had six saves for Skidmore and Avery Stamps stopped three.Â
Oneonta is back in action Sunday when they host Stevens at 12:30 pm. Â
