BROCKPORT, N.Y. -Â The Oneonta women's track & field wrapped up the second day of the SUNYAC Indoor Championships and finished fourth out of nine teams with 49 points. Geneseo won the team championship scoring 275.5 points. In total, two Red Dragons were named all-conference.
Junior Ejim Nnate (Port Jefferson Station, NY/Comsewogue) earned All-SUNYAC Third Team honors in the 60-hurdles with a third-place finish at 9.07.Â
Junior Ella DePhillips (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) ran a 5:31.64 to finish 13th overall in the mile. In the 3,000-meter, junior Megan Francoeur (New Lebanon, NY/Pittsfield (MA)) took ninth overall with a time of 10:17.07.Â
The track events concluded with the 4x400 relay of Danielle Jackson (Bronx, NY/Central Park East), Olivia O'Donnell (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta), Taylor Johnson (White Plains, NY/White Plains), and DePhillips posting a 4:27.80 for eighth place.
Junior Isabella Fabrizio (Highland Mills, NY/Cornwall) closed the day with a second-place finish in the shot put. She threw 12.53 meters to earn second-team honors. Junior Emelene Burek (Cohoes, NY/Shaker) placed fifth with a mark of 12.25 meters, while sophomore Teghan Garris (Dryden, NY/Dryden) was seventh at 11.66. Senior Kate Bellman (Pompton Plains, NJ/Pequannock Township) took eighth at 11.62 meters.
Oneonta continues the season at the AARTFC Indoor Championships held at the Armory in New York City on Mar. 3-4.
