BOSTON, MA - The Oneonta men's and women's track & field teams finished Saturday meets at the Boston University Valentine Meet and the MIT Gordon Kelly Invitational.
On the second day of the Valentine Invitational, junior Jonthomas Bierman (Mamaroneck, NY/Mamaroneck) broke the school record in the 3,000-meter by running an 8:23.98 to place first in the unseeded heat. Junior Luke Jarski (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa) ran the second fastest 800-meter time in program at 1:53.17 for 83rd place. Freshman Joshua Jerome ran a personal record of 53.16 in the 400-meters. Danielle Jackson (Bronx, NY/Central Park East) ran a personal record of 1:02.85 in the 400-meters, while Taylor Johnson (White Plains, NY/White Plains) crossed at 1:03.74.
Another group competed at the Gordon Kelly Invitational. Freshman Owen Sullivan (Huntington, NY) ran a personal best of 4:34.84 to win the one-mile race, and John Balk ran a career-fast of 9:02.93 in the 3,000-meter to place third overall.
Junior Olivia O'Donnell (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) set a personal best of 5:33.74 to place third in the mile, while Eva Woodworth () crossed at 5:59.74 for 18th. Emily Rudolph (Stillwater, NY/Webb UFSD) set a personal record of 11:01.08 to earn a second-place finish.
Oneonta continues their season on Sat. Feb. 18 at the Cornell Deneault Invite.
