ONEONTA, N.Y. -- The SUNY Oneonta wrestling team came away with two dominating wins against Keystone College and Utica University on senior day, Saturday afternoon. The Red Dragons defeated the Giants, 47-3, the Pioneers, 46-9, and recorded seven pins as the team improved to 7-0 on the season. Â
During the meet, Oneonta celebrated and recognized the careers of 10 athletes for senior day. Those honored included

Kenneth Sauer (Franklin/Franklin),
Nicholas Sergi (Northport, NY/Northport), and
Max Yahre (Plainview, N.Y./Plainview JFK).

The Red Dragons won five matches via fall against the Giants. Sacco won at 0:44 in the 133 match, Ocasio pinned his opponent at 1:29 in 144, Klosner recorded a 2:57 fall at 149, Sauer took the 174 match in 0:48, and DeLucia pinned Louis Frisenda at 2:19 in the 184 bout.
Yahre won a 13-2 major decision at 157, sophomore
Aydin DeForest (West Winfield, NY/Mount Markham) recorded a 19-5 major decision at 165, and sophomore
Carson LiCastri (Redding, CT/Joel Barlow High School) won the 197 match with a 16-10 decision over Nero Bono.

Billy Colloca (West Babylon, NY/West Babylon Senior High) won both 125 matches via forfeit. Klosner (149), Sergi (174), Kennedy (197), and junior
Kennith Jackson (New Orleans, LA/) (HWT) joined Colloca and won their matches by forfeit against the Pioneers. Â
Sacco picked up his second pin of the day against Billy Beseth in 0:44 at 141, sophomore
Jack Ryan (Trumbull, CT/) pinned Andrew Mickel in 0:33 at 184, and Yahre got his second major decision at 165 with an 8-0 win over Logan Krouse. Â
In the exhibition matches, Colloca (125) pinned Utica's Marco Milankovic at 1:45, Kennedy (197) had a 16-0 tech fall victory against Keystone's Derrick DeMann at 2:54, and junior
Jack Kohrs (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury High School) (157) recorded a 13-3 major decision against Pioneers' Anthony Kelly. Â
The Red Dragons are back in action on January 6 for the Maganaro Duals at Ursinus College at 10 am. Â
