CORTLAND, N.Y. - The Oneonta men's swimming & diving team registered three individual first-place finishes during a 183-80 loss to Cortland on Saturday afternoon. Additionally, the Red Dragons won the 200-free relay.
Sophomore Mason DeLisio (Kingston, NY/Kingston) won the 50-yard freestyle in 23.10 and the 100-yard freestyle in 49.71, while junior Kyle Copper (Canandaigua, NY/Marcus Whitman) won the 200-yard butterfly in a season-best 1:59.82.
Oneonta took third in the 400-yard medley relay at 3:47.75. In the 200-yard freestyle, junior Eli Cohen (Schoharie, NY/East Lake (Fla)) placed second at 1:56.86, and freshman Brendan Heaney (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Forks Central) swam a personal best of 2:00.24 for fourth. Sophomore James Llewellyn (Great River, NY/East Islip) was second in the 100-backstroke with a time of 57.38.
After DeLisio in the 100-freestyle, Llewellyn was second with a season-fast time of 50.35. Copper went second in the 100-meter fly at 54.09, and junior Daniel Oh (Huntington, NY/Harborfields) was fourth at 57.11.
Oneonta wraps up the regular season on Sat. Feb. 4 in a home dual meet against New Paltz at 1 p.m.
