The SUNY Oneonta men's track & field team ended its outdoor season yesterday at the AARTFC championships hosted by Moravian College. The Red Dragons finished the two-day event in 31
st place.

The Inside Story
Oneonta's eight points came from three athletes that finished in the top-8 in their individual events. The trio included sophomores
Richard Mangogna (Kings Park/Kings Park),
Luke Jarski (Massapequa/Massapequa) and
John Balk, Jr. (Suffern/Suffern)

Mangogna had a career day in the decathlon scoring a personal best 5,395 points in the grueling 10 events. During his performances, he posted a personal best time of 54.58 in the 400-meter event. His total of 5,395 points also moved him into the No. 3 spot all-time in program history.

Balk, Jr. was Oneonta's highest place-finisher crossing in fifth in the 10K. Balk, Jr. recorded a personal best time in the event of 31:46.38.

Jarski finished eighth in the 800 meters crossing in a time of 1:55.15.

Sophomore
Bryce Maopolski (Narrowsburg/Sullivan West) posted a personal best time in his individual event. Maopolski timed in at 9:52.17 finishing 17
th overall in the event.

Rounding out the group of competitors for Oneonta was senior
Norberto Cervantes (Williamson/Williamson) (hammer); juniors
Miles Moliterni (Pine Bush/Pine Bush) (hammer) and
Chris Ganley (Pine Bush/Pine Bush) (100m, 200m, 4x100 relay); sophomores
Eric Nieves (Thornwood/Westlake) (100m, 4x100 relay),
Alec Weiss (Selden/Newfield) (4x100 relay),
Jonthomas Bierman (Mamaroneck/Mamaroneck) (1500m); and freshman
Vincent Zheng (Nanuet/Nanuet) (shot put).
