The SUNY Oneonta men's track & field team traveled to both Bucknell and Cortland to compete this weekend. Both meets included athletes from NCAA Division I, II, and III.

Bison Invitational at Bucknell

The top performances for the Red Dragons came on the track, as sophomores
Eion McClain (Andover, NJ/Pope John XXIII),
Jonthomas Bierman (Mamaroneck/Mamaroneck) and
Luke Jarski (Massapequa/Massapequa) recorded personal best times in their respective events. McClain competed in the invited 5K race and finished 58th overall with a personal best time of 15:54.88, which is also the fourth fastest time in program history outdoors. Bierman ran 15:36.10 in the open 5K race for his personal best performance while Jarski posted a time of 1:53.92 in the 800-meter run. Jarski's time put him third on the all-time list in the event.

Norberto Cervantes (Williamson/Williamson) and junior
Miles Moliterni (Pine Bush/Pine Bush) posted top-15 finishes in the hammer. Moliterni finished 13
th and Cervantes placed 15
th.

Junior
Chris Ganley (Pine Bush/Pine Bush) and sophomore
Eric Nieves (Thornwood/Westlake) competed in the 100-meter dash while also teaming with sophomores
Richard Mangogna (Kings Park/Kings Park) and
Alec Weiss (Selden/Newfield) to run a season best time of 43.62 seconds in the 4x100-meter relay. Weiss also competed in the long jump.

Cortland Upstate Alternative Meet

The top performances on the track came from senior
William Ford (Brewster/Brewster) and sophomores
Clayton Davis (Newport/West Canada Valley),
Michael Carey (Washingtonville/Washingtonville) and
Clifford Biehl (Babylon/Babylon). Carey, Biehl and Ford posted their collegiate best performances in the 200-meter dash finishing 5
th, 9
th and 13
th overall. Ford also had a personal best performance in the pole vault.

In the throws, senior
D'Shaun Ricketts (Mount Vernon/Mount Vernon), sophomores
Aidan Kelly (Farmingdale/Farmingdale),
James Tumia (Rochester/Greece Arcadia) and
Vincent Zheng (Nanuet/Nanuet) posted personal best marks. Ricketts' and Tumia's best performances came in the hammer where they placed fifth and ninth respectively.

Zheng and Kelly recorded their PRs in the shot put finishing fourth and 18
th respectively.

What's Next
Oneonta will return to Cortland next weekend to participate in the two-day Cortland Classic beginning on Friday.
