Women's track & field close indoor season at AARTFC championships

A Quick Look
The SUNY Oneonta women's track & field team closed out the indoor portion of its 2021-22 schedule yesterday with competition in the AARTFC championship meet hosted by Nazareth College.  The Red Dragons ended up collecting six points to finish 22nd overall in the two-day event won by Geneseo.
 
The Inside Story
Junior Hannah Jackson (Poughquag/Arlington) and sophomores Isabella Fabrizio (Highland Mills/Cornwall) and Ejim Nnate (Port Jefferson Station/Comsewogue) represented the Red Dragons after posting qualifying standards for the event.
 
Fabrizio was Oneonta's lone scorer after placing third in the shot put to score six points.  Fabrizio posted a mark of 12.57 meters (41'-3").
 
Nnate competed in the 60-meter hurdles and recorded a time of 9.40 seconds in the qualifying heats missing out on the finals and finishing 11th in the event.
 
Jackson qualified in the weight throw, which had a deep field of competitors.  Jackson posted a distance of 12.71 meters (41'-8 ½") and finished 24th overall.
 
What's Next
The women will have some time off before beginning its outdoor schedule on Saturday, Apr. 2nd at Hamilton College.
