Both squads combined for nine goals in the opening quarter with the hosts grabbing a slim 5-4 advantage heading to the second quarter. The two teams went back-and-forth for the entire first quarter matching goal-for-goal before West Conn's final goal with 27 seconds remaining.

Colton Becker (Farmingdale/Farmingdale) paced the offense in the first quarter notching his first two collegiate goals while adding an assist. One of Becker's goals came with a man-up as did senior
Dean Cannon's (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) goal in the quarter that tied the game at three goals apiece.

The hosts extended its lead to 8-4 with under four minutes to go in the second quarter before the Red Dragons bounced back with a pair of goals to close the gap back to a pair heading into the break. Junior
Connor Gallagher (Montrose/Hendrick Hudson) registered back-to-back scores including one with 22 seconds left in the quarter.

West Conn scored three goals in the third quarter while holding Oneonta to just one goal to push its lead to 11-7 entering the final quarter. The lone goal in the quarter came from junior
Jesse AlfanoStJohn (Westhampton Beach/Westhampton Beach), who scored his first of the season.

The hosts took control in the fourth quarter to win going away. Oneonta's final goal came from freshman
Matthew Mangels (St. James/Smithtown East), who registered his first collegiate goal.
