Singles was salvaged when sophomore
Brianna Shaw (Staten Island/Curtis) upset her opponent turning in an impressive 6-3, 6-0 win in the sixth position. Notable results was Macdonald playing in the fourth spot was twice up in the first and second sets but eventually succumbed 6-3, 6-4. Sophomore
Sophia Schutte (Great Neck/Great Neck) turned in a great first set losing by only a break in second singles but eventually lost in straight sets. Â
