Nicole Ryan (Fayetteville/Fayetteville-Manlius) recorded her first collegiate win as the Red Dragons improved to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the SUNYAC while the Devils dropped to 0-10 overall and 0-3 in the conference.

Jessica Harris (Cobleskill/Academy of Holy Names) and junior
Madelyn Brophy (Greenwich/Greenwich Central) recorded the first point for Oneonta with an 8-1 win over Sierra Allen and Lexi Hawley on the No. 3 doubles court. Juniors
Brianna Shaw (Staten Island/Curtis) and
Sophia Schutte (Great Neck/Great Neck) won their fifth doubles match in a row with an 8-0 shutout on the No. 2 court, and junior
Julia Holtermann (Staten Island/Curtis) and senior
Maxie Karen (New York, NY/The Clinton School) closed out the doubles play defeating Bella Surma and Caitlin Snyder, 8-3.
In the singles portion, Holtermann beat Surma on the No. 1 court with a double bagel, 6-0, 6-0. Ryan won her match on the No. 6 singles court, 6-1, 6-2, officially securing the match for Oneonta.
Schutte, Shaw, and freshman
Danielle Copp (Marcellus/Marcellus) played on the No. 2, No. 3, and No. 5 courts, respectively and all three defeated their opponents in 6-1, 6-2 sets. In the last match remaining, Harris forced a super tiebreaker set on the No. 4 court. After falling in the first set 3-6, she served up a 6-3 second set and took the super tiebreaker 10-5.
The Red Dragons continue conference play in Binghamton tomorrow against Brockport at 3 pm.
