"Tonight was another good team win, and I am proud of our guys defensive effort," said Head Coach Cameron Conover.  "It is hard to win in the SUNYAC, and our guys our starting to realize the effort it takes to play well for forty minutes.  Our guys have earned a day off and I know they will be eager to get back to work on Monday."

The Inside Story
For the second straight game, Oneonta held the lead for more than 36 minutes.  The Red Dragons led by as many as 19 points with just under 14 minutes remaining in the second half before Brockport made a final push.

Leading 57-38, Brockport began to climb back into the contest cutting its deficit to 10 points on a layup by Monte Johnson at the 8:36 mark.

Five minutes later, sophomore Frankie Williams (Bronx, NY/Fannie Lou) made a layup to push Oneonta's lead back to 16 points, which seemed to be a comfortable lead.

The Golden Eagles would not go quietly, as they slowly kept chipping away at the lead closing it to 75-71 with 44 seconds remaining.  The surge was led by junior Jahidi Wallace who paced them with 14 of his game high 32 points.

The game became a possession for possession contest down the stretch with Oneonta converting seven free throws.  The final nail in the coffin was a rebound and put back by senior Daniel Derice (Tampa, FL/Wesley Chapel) off a missed free throw with five seconds left giving Oneonta its final margin of victory.

The Red Dragons trailed early in the game 5-3 before putting together a 17-4 run over a nine-minute stretch giving them a 20-9 lead with just under eight minutes to go in the opening half.  Junior Dylan Trombley (Moriah, NY/Moriah) fueled the run with nine points including a pair from beyond the arc.
