The SUNY Oneonta Volleyball team dropped a pair of 3-0 matches Saturday afternoon at the Rochester University Invitational. With the two losses, the Red Dragons are now 1-2 on the year.

Match One
In Oneonta's first match against the University of Rochester, Kaelyn DeLello (Manorville/Eastport-South Manor) and Ashanti Davis (Cortlandt Manor/Hendrick Hudson) paced the Red Dragons with five kills apiece. Davis also added a match-high four blocks while Kayla Rende (Wantagh/Wantagh) dished out a match-best 20 assists. Trailing 24-16 in the third set, Oneonta fought back with a 5-0 run with Carsyn Rachuta (Holbrook/Sachem North) at the service to cut the deficit to 24-21. Unfortunately, that would be as close as the Red Dragons would get as Rochester capture the match on a service error.

Match Two
In Oneonta's second match against RIT, Ashanti Davis (Cortlandt Manor/Hendrick Hudson) led the Red Dragons with six kills and three blocks while Caitlin Christie (Bay Shore/Bay Shore) chipped in with five kills and a team-best .308 hitting percentage. Carsyn Rachuta (Holbrook/Sachem North) contributed five service aces.

What's Next
Oneonta returns to action on Wednesday, September 8^th when they travel across the street to Hartwick College for a 5:00pm tilt with the Hawks.
