The SUNY Oneonta field hockey team defeated Morrisville 2-0 in SUNYAC action Saturday afternoon at All College Field. The Red Dragons are now 2-5 on the year with a 1-1 mark in league play.

The Inside Story
Oneonta jumped on the board 2:21 into the game when Morgan Fleming (Harpursville/Harpursville) netted her third goal on the season when the Red Dragons broke free on a 3-0 breakaway. Oneonta wrapped up the scoring in the 10^th minute when Emilia Montgomery (Simsbury, CT/Simsbury) scored on a loose ball in front on a pass from Morgan Fleming (Harpursville/Harpursville).

Just the Stats
The Red Dragons outshot the mustangs 29-0 for the game. Oneonta also had a 16-2 advantage in penalty corners. Morgan Fleming (Harpursville/Harpursville) led Oneonta with four shots on net while Alexa Ryan (Yorktown Heights/Lakeland) had three.

Oneonta returns to action Wednesday, October 6^th when they travel to Ithaca for a 6:00PM tilt with the Bombers.
