Cortland jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead when they netted a pair of goals in the first 2:18 of the game. After Oneonta called a timeout to regroup,
Rachel Morris (East Greenbush/Columbia) put the visitors on the board off of a Cortland turnover. Oneonta knotted the game at 2-2 when
Sophia Calabrese (Bethlehem/Bethlehem Central) tallied her 18
th goal of the season. Cortland took the lead again on back-to-back goals by Hannah Lorenzen to give the hosts a 4-2 advantage.

Tessa Hughes (Delmar/Bethlehem Central) to make it 4-3. On Cortland's next possession,
Haley Vermette (Brewster/North Salem) caused a turnover, leading Oneonta down the field for a
Deirdre Buckley (Merrick/Kellenberg Memorial) goal to tie the game at 4-4. After Hannah Lorenzen struck for Cortland with back-to-back goals to make it 6-4,
Megan Foiles (Pearl River/Pearl River) scored on a free position shot for Oneonta to pull the visitors within one. With 16 seconds remaining in the half,
Christen Patalano (Mineola/Kellenberg Memorial) tied the game for Oneonta with her tenth goal of the season. Unfortunately, Hannah Lorenzen took the following draw control the distance of the field to score with two seconds on the clock, sending Cortland into the break with a 7-6 advantage.

Cortland would open the second half scoring with a free position goal by Shelby Meduski to give the hosts an 8-6 lead.

Megan Foiles (Pearl River/Pearl River) struck with a free position goal on a man advantage to cut the deficit to 9-8. Once again, the Oneonta excitement was short lived as Cortland scored 51 seconds later to go in front 10-8. After Cortland made it 11-8 on another Shelby Meduski goal,
Megan Foiles (Pearl River/Pearl River) propelled Oneonta on a 3-0 run when she tallied a free position goal. On Cortland's next possession,
Nicolette Lospitalier (Farmingdale/Farmingdale) forced a turnover, setting up a
Deirdre Buckley (Merrick/Kellenberg Memorial) goal. With 8:03 remaining in regulation,
Christen Patalano (Mineola/Kellenberg Memorial) tickled the twine on a free position shot, tying the game at 11-11. Cortland went on to score consecutive goals, including what proved to be the game-winner by Hannah Lorenzen on a free position shot to take a 13-11 lead.
Deirdre Buckley (Merrick/Kellenberg Memorial) gave Oneonta hope when she scored on a pass from
Maggee Sheridan (Warwick/Warwick Valley) with 4:16 remaining. Cortland netted an insurance goal at the 3:09 mark. Oneonta could only muster one more shot the rest of the way as Cortland held on for the victory.

Jennifer Tumino (Carle Place/Carle Place) made 13 saves in the game. Oneonta was 22-for-24 on clear attempts while winning 11 of 28 draw controls.
