The SUNY Oneonta women's lacrosse team wrapped up the regular season with a 20-6 victory over Potsdam Saturday afternoon. The Red Dragons finish the regular season with a record of 5-3 while the Bears fall to 3-8.

The Inside Story
Ten different Red Dragons found the back of the net. Junior
Tessa Hughes (Delmar/Bethlehem Central) paced Oneonta with a team-best six goals while
Lily Avazis (Port Washington/Schreiber) tallied nine points with a goal and eight assists.
Deirdre Buckley (Merrick/Kellenberg Memorial) and
Rachel Morris (East Greenbush/Columbia) chipped in with three goals apiece while
Lauren Mancini (Miller Place/Miller Place) tickled the twine twice.
Sophia Calabrese (Bethlehem/Bethlehem Central),
Megan Foiles (Pearl River/Pearl River),
Christen Patalano (Mineola/Kellenberg Memorial),
Francesca Lawless (Massapequa/Massapequa) and
Marissa Evans (Jamesville/LaFayette) also found the back of the net for Oneonta.

Oneonta outshot Potsdam 44-14 for the game. The Red Dragons forced 13 turnovers, with
Haley Vermette (Brewster/North Salem) causing four of them. Goalie
Jennifer Tumino (Carle Place/Carle Place) made seven saves for the Red Dragons.

The Red Dragons return to action on Thursday, April 29th when they travel to Brockport for the opening round of the SUNYAC Tournament.
