A Quick Look

The Inside Story
The score of today's contest is a bit deceiving, as Oneonta could have easily scored three goals had it not been for three defensive saves by New Paltz players.
Â
In the first period, Oneonta earned one of its three penalty corners that generated a shot by senior
Emily Raymond (Deposit/Deposit). The ball found its way behind the New Paltz goalie before being stopped by Jessica Ascencao.
Â
Early in the third period, Ascencao recorded another defensive save on a shot by senior
Jenna Dangler (Nyack/Nyack) also off a penalty corner.
Â
The final scoring opportunity that was thwarted by a defensive save came after the Hawks were out in front 2-0. Once again, Oneonta was able to generate a shot off a penalty corner that appeared to heading into the goal, but this time, was stopped by Courtney Kruzikas.
Â
The two scores for New Paltz (15-2) came 59 seconds apart in the fourth quarter by Jamie Wagner.
Â
Just the Stats
Oneonta was outshot in the game 22-4. Senior goalie
