"This was a game between two very good teams," said Head Coach Cameron Conover.  We played tough, but ultimately got worn down.  We will learn from this and get better and I know our guys will be ready to compete the next time we step on the court."

The Inside Story

Oneonta built itself an eight-point lead with just over seven minutes remaining in the contest before the Ephs closed the game on a 12-4 run to send the game to overtime.  Junior Dylan Trombley (Moriah, NY/Moriah) scored 13 of his game high 22 points in the second half.  Trombley was 5-9 in the that including 3-6 from behind the arc.  All three of Trombley's threes came over a three-minute span that helped the Red Dragons build its lead.

Williams tied the game on a three-pointer by Jovan Jones with 1:34 remaining in the game.  Both teams missed a pair of three-pointers including a Williams' miss at the buzzer.

The two teams took turns with the lead throughout the first half before eight unanswered points by Oneonta gave them a 36-29 lead at the break.  Four different players registered a basket capped by a layup by newcomer Ryan Teaney (Schenectady, NY/Guilderland).
