SUNY Oneonta outscored visiting Keystone 45-33 in the second half to erase a deficit enroute to an 82-75 victory tonight in non-conference men's basketball action. The win for the Red Dragons raises its overall record to 4-1 while the Giants leave town 2-4 overall.

Oneonta trailed by five points entering the second half and fell behind 51-43 in the first five minutes before starting its comeback. Freshman
Caleb Brown (Brooklyn, NY/Uncommon Charter) converted 1-of-2 free throws to cap an 11-3 spurt for Oneonta to knot the score at 54 apiece.

Dylan Trombley (Moriah, NY/Moriah) at the 6:47 mark gave Oneonta a 63-62 lead. It was Oneonta's first lead since 8-7 early in the contest. The Red Dragons pushed its advantage nine points with a 10-2 run capped by a pair of free throws by sophomore

Keystone got as close as five points with 24 seconds remaining on a three-pointer by Pete Laidley, but Oneonta had the game in hand.

The two teams battled closely throughout the opening half with the score tied on five different occasions. A layup by Jack Anderson at the 16:54 mark gave the Giants a 9-8 lead. They would hold the lead for 15 minutes building to a 42-37 advantage at the break.

Both teams shot better than 40 percent from the floor for the game with Oneonta leading at 44 percent. The Red Dragons outrebounded the Giants 46-36 overall including 31-18 in the second half. Oneonta pulled down 17 offensive rebounds including 13 in the final 20 minutes. The Red Dragons held a 44-32 scoring advantage in the paint including a 19 second-chance points.

Ortale Jr. was the leading scorer tonight for Oneonta with 23 points. Sophomore
Frankie Williams (Bronx, NY/Fannie Lou) and senior
Daniel Derice (Tampa, FL/Wesley Chapel) each scored 14 points while Trombley finished with 11 points. Ortale also led everyone with 12 boards.
