The SUNY Oneonta men's soccer team had to settle for a 1-1 draw at Buffalo State today after severe weather ended the game in the 79
th minute. The tie makes Oneonta 8-2-2 overall and 4-1-1 in the SUNYAC while Buffalo is 10-3-1 overall and 3-2-1 in the conference.

The Inside Story
Oneonta carried the play for most of the first half but trailed at the break 1-0 when the Bengals tallied with 30 seconds left in the opening half. It was scored by Zak Shaibi from the top of the box off an assist by Moe Saif.

The game was then delayed for 1:47 due to lightning in the area.

The two teams continued to battled through the rain once the match restarted working its way past 70 minutes, which is the NCAA official time for a regulation game.

Lucas Fecci (Somers/Somers) notched his team-leading ninth goal of the season at 74:32 of the match. Fecci scored from in close after receiving a pass from sophomore

The game continued for just over three minutes more before another stoppage caused the officials to end the game at 78:08.

Oneonta finished the game with a 13-3 shot advantage including 7-0 in the second half. The Red Dragons also earned six corner kicks while surrendering none.
