Nicholas Clark joins athletic department

SUNY Oneonta Director of Athletics Tracey Ranieri is pleased to announce that Nicholas Clark is joining the staff of the athletics department as an Assistant Athletic Trainer.  Clark was hired earlier this summer after a national search and rounds out the sports medicine department as the third member of the team.

Clark joins the sports medicine team after serving as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for Iselborn Health and Wellness in Jacksonville, Fla.

At Iselborn, Clark was the Cryotherapy Coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the NFL.  He was also responsible for injury evaluation, management, rehabilitation, referral, education and prevention of injuries for patients of all ages.  Clark also assisted Doctors of Physical Therapy and Chiropratic with dry needling and acupuncture.

Clark received his Bachelor of Science degree in December of 2018 from SUNY Cortland graduating from its CAATE accredited program.  While at Cortland, he served as a student athletic trainer for both men's and women's soccer, field hockey and the Cornell University men's lacrosse team.  Clark managed his teams through evaluation, rehabilitation and return to play protocols.

Clark attended Hudson Valley Community College from 2013-15 and received an Associate Degree in Science and worked as a student athletic trainer for various sports.  He assisted the Head Athletic Trainer with treating and rehabilitation of injuries.

Clark spent one semester at the University of Tampa where he was a member of the men's lacrosse team.  At Hudson Valley, Clark competed on the men's lacrosse team and was Captain in 2015.

Clark is Board Certified Athletic Trainer and holds licensure in both the states of Florida and New York.
