A Quick Look
Senior
Kevin Mackin (Nanuet, NY/Nanuet) had a regular season finale to remember today when he torched Plattsburgh for 41 points in a 105-65 win. The win for Oneonta completed an 18-7 regular season while finishing 14-4 in the SUNYAC. The 18 wins in the regular season are the most since 2009-10 when the Red Dragons won 19 while the 14 conference wins is the most all-time.
Â
"Tonight, was a total team effort," said Head Coach
Cameron Conover. "Our guys came out with great defensive intensity that ignited our offense. We were extremely unselfish and did a great job of finding the open man all game. Kevin was pretty impressive too!"
Â
The Inside Story
The 41 points for Mackin is the second most in a single game all-time and the first time a men's player has scored at least 40 points since Zach Mager scored exactly 40 points versus Brockport in 2012. In the game, Mackin connected on nine three-pointers, which tied the most in a single game set in 2004 by Sean Coffey.
Â
Today's game was over early, as Oneonta shot nearly 72 percent in racking up a season high 58 points in the first half. Mackin scored 26 of his points in the opening half.
Â
Joining Mackin in double digits today was sophomore
Dylan Trombley (Moriah, NY/Moriah) and junior
Kameron Hickey (Atlanta, GA/Etowah) who scored 18 and 10 points respectively. Trombley made four shots from behind the arc and Hickey scored his points in 14 minutes off the bench.

What's Next
Oneonta will host Geneseo on Tuesday night for its opening game in the 2020 SUNYAC tournament beginning at 7pm. The winner will advance to play Potsdam at Brockport on Friday night. "We are excited to be hosting a playoff game," commented Conover. "We hope our fans will come out and support this group one more time."
