Oneonta now with a lead going into the singles saw wins at one through four and at number six positions. In perhaps the highlight of the afternoon at number one singles Lipscomb dropped the first set 7-6 (7-5). Lipscomb then tightened things up after the first set and went onto dominate in the second set with a score of 6-2. The match deadlocked at 1-1 went to a super tiebreaker and Lipscomb jumped out to a 4-0 lead only to see her command evaporate falling down 6-5. Lipscomb then took five out of the next six points to take home a very impressive win. Other victors on the day were Fraser who was almost flawless with a 6-0, 6-1 triumph. Karen then registered a nice victory staying consistent with a 6-2, 6-1 win registered at the third spot. In fourth flight Macdonald started off slowly and then got back to dominate her opponent 6-3, 6-0. Rounding out the wins on the day was freshman
Emily Greene (Dix Hills/Half Hollow Hills West) who cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 victory closing out a 7-2 team match conquest.
