The SUNY Oneonta women's lacrosse team defeated Plattsburgh 25-3 in SUNYAC action Wednesday afternoon at Red Dragon Field.

Oneonta (8-6, 4-2 SUNYAC) had ten different athletes find the back of the net, with six of them scoring at least a hat-trick. Senior
Kelsey Cohen (Baldwin/Baldwin) paced the Red Dragons with eight points, scoring a team high five goals, including her 50
th of the season while dishing out three assists.
Deirdre Buckley (Merrick/Kellenberg Memorial) chipped in with four goals while
Sophia Calabrese (Bethlehem/Bethlehem Central),
Lauren Bascelli (Williston Park/Herricks),
Victoria Varone (Commack/Commack), and
Lily Avazis (Port Washington/Schreiber) had three goals apiece. Avazis also had three assists to finish six points.
The Red Dragons were relentless on defense as they caused eight turnovers as a team with
Kelly Clarke (East Meadow/East Meadow),
Sophia Calabrese (Bethlehem/Bethlehem Central) and
Christen Patalano (Mineola/Kellenberg Memorial) gathering two apiece. Oneonta won 18-of-28 draw controls while outshooting Plattsburgh by a 37-13 margin.
Goalie
Lexi Keen (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) made four stops, all in the first half to earn her third win of the season.

The Red Dragons return to action on Saturday, April 20
th when they travel to Oswego for a crucial SUNYAC battle with the Lakers at 3:00 p.m.
