The SUNY Oneonta women's lacrosse team soared past Otterbein University 22-2 in non-conference action Wednesday morning in Orlando, Florida.

The Inside Story
Oneonta (3-1) had 12 different players find the back of the net. The Red Dragons scored the first ten goals of the game before Otterbein got on the board at 19:05 into the game.
Kelsey Cohen (Baldwin/Baldwin) netted four out of her team-high five goals in the first half as Oneonta led 14-1 at halftime. Cohen and
Lauren Bascelli (Williston Park/Herricks) finished the game with six points apiece. Cohen added an assist on top of her five goals while Bascelli tallied a pair of goals and four assists.
Lily Avazis (Port Washington/Schreiber) tickled the twine four times and dished out an assist.
Maggee Sheridan (Warwick/Warwick Valley) and
Victoria Varone (Commack/Commack) had two goals apiece while
Shannon Giddens (Franklin Square/H Frank Carey),
Isabella Marx (Dix Hills/Half Hollow Hills East),
Christen Patalano (Mineola/Kellenberg Memorial),
Abbi Zalucky (Averill Park/Averill Central),
Sophia Calabrese (Bethlehem/Bethlehem Central),

The Red Dragons outshot Otterbein 31-8 for the game. Oneonta was 13-for-15 on clear attempts while winning 17 of 25 draw controls.
