A Quick Look
The SUNY Oneonta women's lacrosse completely dominated Eastern University today in the first of two contests in Florida.  Six players registered multiple goals in the lopsided victory.
 
The Inside Story
Oneonta (2-1) led from start to finish jumping out to an 8-0 lead in the opening 10 minutes of play.  Seniors 
Kelsey Cohen (Baldwin/Baldwin) and 
Lauren Bascelli (Williston Park/Herricks), junior 
Victoria Varone (Commack/Commack) and sophomore 
Sophia Calabrese (Bethlehem/Bethlehem Central) each scored a pair of goals to account for the eight tallies.
 
The Red Dragons led comfortably at halftime 12-2 after adding four more goals to its side of the scoreboard.  Varone and Bascelli scored again as did junior 
Erin Fowler (East Meadow/East Meadow) and sophomore 
Maggee Sheridan (Warwick/Warwick Valley).
 
Seven unanswered goals at the beginning of the second half secured the win for Oneonta.

Cohen (4), Bascelli (3), Giddens (3), Varone (3), 
Sophia Calabrese (Bethlehem/Bethlehem Central) (2) and 
Carolyn Formichelli (Ridge/Longwood) (2) all registered multiple goals in today's win.
 
Sheridan (3) and classmate 
Lily Avazis (Port Washington/Schreiber) (2) each contributed multiple helpers.
 
Junior 
Lexi Keen (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) picked up her first win of the season as the starter allowing a pair of goals and recording one stop.
 
What's Next
Oneonta will conclude its Florida spring games tomorrow when they face Otterbein in Kissimmee beginning at 10am.
