A Quick Look
The SUNY Oneonta women's lacrosse team fell to Union College 10-6 non-conference action Monday evening at Red Dragon Field.

The Inside Story
Oneonta (4-3) got on the board on Sophia Calabrese's (Bethlehem/Bethlehem Central) 11 goal of the season just 4:05 into the game. Union (3-2) tied the game just 41 seconds later when Hannah Rosenberger fed Emma Lowrey for her third maker of the year.  Union's Lindsay Gerrato would score back-to-back goals including on a man advantage opportunity to put the Dutchwomen in front 3-1.

In the 12th minute, Kelsey Cohen (Baldwin/Baldwin) scored her team-best 24th goal of the season to pull Oneonta within one.  The Red Dragons would knot the game at 3-3 when Sophia Calabrese (Bethlehem/Bethlehem Central) connected with Deirdre Buckley (Merrick/Kellenberg Memorial) 12:18 into the first half. Oneonta took a 4-3 lead at the 17:09 mark on Sophia Calabrese's (Bethlehem/Bethlehem Central) second tally of the game. Union scored the next three goals of the half to take a 6-3 advantage at the break.

Union opened the second half with a Ramsey Walsh goal on a free position shot, upping the Dutchwomen lead to 7-3.  After a Lindsay Gerrato goal made the score 8-3 in favor of Union, Maggee Sheridan (Warwick/Warwick Valley) netted a shorthanded goal for Oneonta to cut the deficit to four. Christen Patalano (Mineola/Kellenberg Memorial) tallied Oneonta's last goal of the game with 2:59 left in regulation.
