The SUNY Oneonta wrestling team split their dual meet on Saturday afternoon at Chase Gymnasium. Oneonta began the day with a 27-15 win over WPI before dropping the nightcap to Muhlenberg 28-12.

Michael Savello (Kings Park/Kings Park) got the match started with an 8-0 decision in the 125-pound weight class.

Steven Bilali (Eastchester/Eastchester) got the Red Dragons back on the board with an 8-3 decision in the 184-pound weight class. Senior heavyweight
Jonathan Solorzano (Lindenhurst/Lindenhurst) pinned his opponent in 11 seconds to secure the victory for the Red Dragons.
Oneonta got off on the right foot against Muhlenberg, taking the first three bouts to go in front 12-0 early.
Michael Savello (Kings Park/Kings Park) earned his second win of the day before DeSousa took an 11-6 decision to make the score 9-0.Â
Ahken Chu (Patterson/Carmel) defeated his opponent 5-3 in the 141-pound weight class. Unfortunately, the Red Dragons would drop the next seven bouts as Muhlenberg took down Oneonta.
