The SUNY Oneonta field hockey team defeated Morrisville State 5-1 in SUNYAC action Tuesday evening. The win lifts the Red Dragons record to 6-5 overall and 2-1 in league play

The Red Dragons got on the board 14:45 into the game when
Courtney Coffey (Kerhonkson/Rondout Valley) put back a loose ball in front for her second goal of the season.
Colleen Geyer (West Nyack/Clarkstown South) extended Oneonta's lead with a shot inside the right post to make it 2-0. With 3:18 remaining in the first half, Morrisville pulled within one with a goal on penalty corner to make the score 2-1 at the break.
Nine minutes into the second half, Oneonta Freshman
Sophia Little (Northport/Northport) scored on a feed from classmate
Morgan Fleming (Harpursville/Harpursville) to up the Red Dragons lead to 3-1.
Alise Anson (Stone Ridge/Rondout Valley) broke the boards less than two minutes later on another pass from Fleming to make it 4-1. Â Fleming capped off her four-point night with a goal in final minutes of the game to make the score 5-1.
