The SUNY Oneonta wrestling team earned a 1-2 record at the John Reese Duals hosted by Wilkes University Sunday afternoon. The Red Dragons began the day with a 37-12 loss to 17^th ranked TCNJ before defeating Lackawanna College 41-7. In their final match of the day, Wilkes University outlasted the Red Dragons 22-19.

Senior heavyweight James Bethel (Saugerties/Saugerties) went 3-0 on the day with three pins. Against The College of New Jersey, Bethel pinned Steven Giannios in 1:37. Bethel then pinned Lackawanna's Joshua Jean-Baptiste before completing the day with a pin of Wilkes University's Roger Horton in just 35 seconds.  Bethel is now 35-1 on the year with 24 pins.

Senior Peter Pjetri (Suffern/Suffern) went 2-1 on the day, dropping his only match of the day in a 4-2 overtime loss against Wilkes. Pjetri began his day with a pin of TCNJ's Matt Cornely in 6:10. Pjetri got his second win on a 17-0 tech fall against Lackawanna.

Tyler Brazinski (Johnson City/Johnson City) earned a pair of wins with a pin in the 149 pound weight class while Peter Oliveto (Suffern/Suffern), Tyler Skala (East Quogue/Westhampton Beach) and Jacob Pine (Hoosick Falls/Hoosick Falls) earned victories in their exhibition matches.
The Red Dragons return to action on Sunday, February 3^rd when they complete at the Ithaca Quad Meet at 11:00
