The SUNY Oneonta wrestling team defeated King's College 50-6 on Wednesday evening at the G. Hal Chase Gymnasium.  The win lifts the Red Dragons record to 6-4 on the year while the Monarchs slide to 1-15.
 
King's jumped out to an early 6-0 lead when Dakota Quick pinned Michael Smith (Smithtown/Smithtown West) in 4:23. Oneonta would go on to capture the next 50 points in the match. After a pair of forfeits gave the Red Dragons a 12-6 advantage, Tyler Brazinski (Johnson City/Johnson City) pinned Matt Sparks in the 149 pound weight class to up the Oneonta lead to 18-6.
 
In the 165 pound weight class, Thomas Marrone (Pleasantville/Pleasantville) defeated Nick Palazzolo by technical fall with a score of 18-1. Jacob Mansman (Tuscon, AZ/Ironwood Ridge) followed with a hard fought 10-8 decision over Nick Price in the 174 pound weight class, extending the Oneonta lead to 32-6. After Ryan Marszal (Unadilla/Unatego) won by injury default, Peter Pjetri (Suffern/Suffern) capped off the match with a pin of J.J. Hooper in 2:40 to make the final score 50-6. Jacob Pine (Hoosick Falls/Hoosick Falls) wrapped up the evening with an exhibition pin over Anthony Harmon-Miller in 2:38.
 
The Red Dragons return to action on Sunday, January 27^th when they travel to Wilkes University for the John Reese Duals beginning at 11:00 a.m.
