The SUNY Oneonta men's basketball team left no doubt this afternoon in running past Fredonia on the road. The Red Dragons shot a sizzling 71 percent in the first half and posted a season high 53 points enroute to an easy 106-63 victory. The 106 points for the Red Dragons in the contest was the sixth most all-time and was the first time that they eclipsed the century mark since last February.
"Our guys had great focus today," said Head Coach
Cameron Conover. "We had a good attention to detail, especially on the defensive end. Everybody contributed to both wins this weekend."

Five players scored in double figures today led by sophomore
Joseph Bull's (Bronx, NY/Mount St. Michael Academy) 19 points. Bull has been on a torrid scoring pace over the last five games averaging 22 points per game. Bull filled his stat line for the day with a team high six assists and three steals and was a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line.

Joining Bull in double digits was junior
Ian Schultz (Clifton Park, NY/CBA) with 17 points while classmate
Kevin Mackin (Nanuet, NY/Nanuet), sophomore
Andres Rivera (Bronx, NY/Walton) and freshman
Dylan Trombley (Moriah, NY/Moriah) all topped out at 16 points. The 16 points for Trombley was a season high as was his four, three-pointers.

Oneonta (8-7, 3-6 SUNYAC) outrebounded Fredonia (2-13, 1-7 SUNYAC) 42-20 led by senior AC Kirkwood's nine boards. Kirkwood contributed seven points in 10 minutes of action today.

Trombley and Mackin both made four shots from behind the arc, as the team made 12 shots from long range for the third time this season shooting 50 percent overall.

The Red Dragons made a season high 20 free throws on 25 attempts. Besides Bull's perfect day, sophomore
Sean Nolan (Voorheesville, NY/Voorheesville) and Trombley were both 4-for-4 from the charity stripe.

Oneonta trailed 2-0 and, by the midway point of the first half, already had their lead into double digits leading 25-15 after a three-point play by Bull. A layup at the buzzer by Bull doubled the Red Dragons lead to twenty points at 53-33 heading into halftime.

Oneonta compiled 38 points in the paint, 21 points off turnovers and scored 15, second chance points.

The men will have a challenge ahead on Tuesday when they travel to No. 3 Williams College beginning at 7pm.
