Joseph Bull (Bronx, NY/Mount St. Michael Academy) was in the zone tonight having a career game scoring 26 points to lead the SUNY Oneonta men's basketball team to a lopsided 83-56 win tonight at home against Geneseo. Bull scorched the net making 10-of-16 shots including 6-of-8 from behind the arc. Bull also added seven rebounds, six assists and two steals to his line.

"I thought our guys had great energy tonight, especially on the defensive end," stated Head Coach
Cameron Conover. "We are happy with the win, but we are not satisfied. We have a very tough opponent tomorrow."

As a team, Oneonta (6-5, 1-4 SUNYAC) shot a season high 56 percent from the floor including making a season high 12 three-pointers. They also forced Geneseo (4-8, 1-5 SUNYAC) into 24 turnovers which they converted to 27 points. The Red Dragons also recorded a season high 14 steals and 24 assists.

Geneseo led early 10-6 until Oneonta seized control with 11 unanswered points to take the lead for good. Bull scored seven of the eleven points including capping the run with his first three-pointer. The Red Dragons continued to build its lead over the final five minutes of the first half taking a 33-22 advantage into halftime.

Oneonta broke the contest wide open early in the second half building its lead to 21 points in the first five minutes. The Red Dragons connected on 9-of-14 shots from long range while shooting 65 percent overall from the floor in the closing twenty minutes.

Joining Bull in double figures tonight were juniors
Kevin Mackin (Nanuet, NY/Nanuet) and
Harrison Deegan (Putnam Valley, NY/Putnam Valley) who scored 17 points and 13 points respectively. Deegan was a perfect 6-for-6 in the game while dishing out four assists and collecting three steals.

Oneonta will play again tomorrow afternoon at home against Brockport beginning at 4pm.
