The SUNY Oneonta volleyball team got back on track with three wins this past weekend at the Hartwick Invitational. The Red Dragons defeated Hilbert on Friday, before besting SUNY Poly and King's one Saturday. Oneonta won all three matches with scores of 3-0. With the sweep, the Red Dragons are now 5-7 on the year.
Sophomore
Clara Culeton (Oswego/Oswego) paced the Red Dragons with 33 kills including a .620 hitting percentage. Culeton also contributed four service aces and eight blocks.
Victoria Moulder (Wantagh/Kellenberg Memorial) chipped in with 19 kills including a team-best nine blocks.
Jessica Fowler (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills) spent the weekend setting up her teammates as she dished out 70 assists.
Lindsay Pelaccio (Verplanck/Hendrick Hudson) gathered a team-high 27 digs while
Jessica Fowler (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills) added 12 digs and ten service aces.
Delaney Dower (Oneonta/Oneonta) led the Red Dragons with 13 service aces while adding 18 digs to her resume.
The Red Dragons return to action on Friday, September 21 when they begin SUNYAC pool play against Oswego at 5:00 p.m. Oneonta will continue pool play on Saturday against Potsdam at noon while finishing up with Geneseo at 2:30 p.m. This weekend's pool play will be hosted by SUNY Potsdam.
