The SUNY Oneonta volleyball team split the final day of SUNYAC pool play at Brockport on Saturday afternoon. The Red Dragons opened the day with a 3-0 victory over Buffalo State before dropping the nightcap to Brockport 3-1. The loss to Brockport eliminated the Red Dragons from SUNYAC playoff contention as their record fell to 11-17 overall and 3-6 in league play.
Clara Culeton (Oswego/Oswego) paced the Red Dragons with 22 kills, averaging 3.14 kills per set with a .340 hitting percentage.
Victoria Moulder (Wantagh/Kellenberg Memorial) finished with 18 kills while
Gillian Stieglitz (Montrose/Hendrick Hudson) chipped in with 16.
Jessica Fowler (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills) dished out 69 assists while delivering a team best six service aces.
In Oneonta's win over Buffalo State, the Red Dragons earned a .269 hitting percentage as a team with eight service aces and seven blocks. Culeton had 14 kills with a hitting percentage of .619.
The Red Dragons return to Dewar Arena next Friday, October 26th when they host Hartwick College in the opening game of the Dig Pink Invitational at 4:00 p.m.
