Box Score The SUNY Oneonta field hockey was paced by a three goal performance from
Grace Bilow (Webster/Webster Thomas) in a 9-1 victory over Brockport Saturday afternoon. The Red Dragons are now 5-0 in the SUNYAC and 9-5 overall.
The Red Dragons outshot Brockport 40-5 with a 16-2 margin in penalty corners.
Oneonta got on the board at the 4:15 mark of the first period on
Allyson Wells' (Niskayuna/Niskayuna) team leading 11
th goal of the season. Just 1:03 later Wells connected with
Alise Anson (Stone Ridge/Rondout Valley) to give the Oneonta a 2-0 advantage. After Brockport cut the deficit to 2-1 in the seventh minute,
Grace Bilow (Webster/Webster Thomas) netted her first of the game on a pass from
Cali Cortese (Yorktown Heights/Lakeland). After
Chloe Lynch (Baldwinsville/Baldwinsville) found the back of the net to make the score 4-1,
Grace Bilow (Webster/Webster Thomas) tallied her second goal to give Oneonta a commanding 5-1 lead at halftime.
Grace Bilow (Webster/Webster Thomas) opened the second half with her third goal of the contest in the 44
th minute to earn the hat-trick. Sophomore
Emily Lutz (Carle Place/Carle Place) broke the boards in the 63
rd minute on a pass from
Carissa Warren (Harpursville/Harpursville) to make the score 7-1. The Red Dragons received late goals from
Allyson Wells (Niskayuna/Niskayuna) and
Carly Byman (Garnerville/North Rockland) to make the final score 9-1. Byman's goal was her first of her career.
