Taylor Casey (Garden City South/Kellenberg Memorial) scored five goals and sophomore
Kelsey Cohen (Baldwin/Baldwin) added four goals in leading the SUNY Oneonta women's lacrosse team to a comfortable 17-3 victory today against visiting New Paltz. The Red Dragons are now 5-3 overall and 2-0 in the SUNYAC while the Hawks fall to 4-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

Oneonta scored the first 10 goals of the game including four by Casey to keep the clock running. New Paltz finally got on the scoreboard in the 26
th minute on a free position goal by Kayla Massena.

The Red Dragons added two more goals before the end of the first half to take a 12-1 lead heading into halftime. Sophomore
Cara Zanta (Scotia/Scotia-Glenville Senior) and freshman
Erin Fowler (East Meadow/East Meadow) each scored for Oneonta.

With the clock running throughout the entire second half due to the goal differential, Oneonta put five more goals on the board while the Hawks added a pair.

Jaclyn Marry (Long Beach/Long Beach) and freshman
Lexi Keen (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) split the game today in goal for Oneonta and combined for three saves.

Oneonta will play its next game on the road this Saturday at Oswego for another SUNYAC game beginning at 3pm.
