St. Lawrence hands field hockey their first loss of the season

The Red Dragons lost to St. Lawrence College 5-2 to fall to 1-1 on the season.

The Red Dragons started the game hot scoring the first two goals of the game. The first goal came at 3:41 when Junior Nicole Johnston (Bedford Village/Fox Lane) would beat the goalie for her first goal of the season. Sophomore's Carissa Warren (Harpursville /Harpursville) and Amanda Frayer (Harpursville/Harpursville) assisted on the goal. The next goal would come 10 minutes later when Kiley Lamoreaux (Walton/Walton) scored her first goal of the season.

With the Red Dragons leading 2-0, St. Lawrence would make a push that the Red Dragons could not answer. The Saints would score five unanswered goals to earn their first win of the season.

The Red Dragons look to bounce back against city rival Hartwick on the Wednesday September 7th at All College Field in Oneonta.
