Taylor Casey (Garden City South/Kellenberg Memorial) registered seven points in helping to lead the SUNY Oneonta women's lacrosse team to a dramatic come-from-behind victory today against visiting Buffalo State 15-14. The Red Dragons overcame a 10-6 halftime deficit and surged in the final 15 minutes to earn its first SUNYAC win of the season.

Trailing 13-9 with 17:31 remaining in the game, Oneonta (4-8/1-3 SUNYAC) ripped off six unanswered goals to grab a 15-13 lead with 6:04 to go in the contest. Freshman
Allison Butler (Queensbury/Queensbury) led the attack with three goals during the run. Butler finished the game with four goals.

Catherine Clark (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills), junior
Katie Flannery (Massapequa/Plainedge) and Casey added the other three goals for the Red Dragons. Flannery also added an assist on Butler's final goal at 10:52.

Buffalo State (4-9/1-4 SUNYAC) wouldn't go quietly, as Christina Krowel scored with 48 seconds left off an assist from Sarah Lorusso.

The Bengals scored the game's first goal at 26:15. Kyra Thompson scored from Alanna Herne. The Bengals never trailed in the first half en route to taking a four-goal advantage into halftime.

Jaclyn Marry (Long Beach/Long Beach) made eight saves in goal today for Oneonta.

Oneonta will take to the road for the rest of the regular season beginning this coming Tuesday in Potsdam to play the Bears at 4pm.
